The dReam Center's Scholarship Programs

In celebration of the legacy of Bertha Phillips, Joseph Lucas & Brittani Hegwood, The dReam Center Church of Atlanta's 2022-2023 scholarship applications are now open. 

Applications will close on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 8:00p EST.

The Brittani Hegwood Scholarship

In celebration of the legacy of Brittani Hegwood, The dReam Center Church of Atlanta will award (2) two scholarships in the amount of $2500. Brittani Hegwood was a beloved partner of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta where she served as a worship leader. This scholarship was created in celebration and remembrance of Brittani Hegwood and her service to her church, family and community. The mission of this scholarship is to support the educational development of students that attend her alma mater, Clark Atlanta University.

The Bertha Phillips Scholarship

In celebration of the legacy of Bertha Phillips, The dReam Center Church of Atlanta will award two (2) scholarships in the amount of $2500. Bertha Phillips is the beloved grandmother of Bishop William Murphy III. Mother Phillips dedicated her life to her family, teaching autistic children and serving her church family. This scholarship was created in celebration and remembrance of Mother Bertha Phillips and her service to her church, family and community. The mission of this scholarship is to support the educational development of rising college freshmen in the Rock Nation student ministry of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta. 

The Joseph Lucas Scholarship

In celebration of the legacy of Joseph Lucas, The dReam Center Church of Atlanta will award two (2) scholarships in the amount of $2500. Joseph Lucas is the late father of the beloved Joanne “Mama Jo” Thomas. Mr. Lucas served as one of the founding members of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta. This scholarship was created in celebration and remembrance of his life and service to his community. The mission of this scholarship is to support the educational development of students who are enrolled in an accredited college/university at the undergraduate or graduate level.
